About Multiscapes Lab
Multiscapes Lab is a platform for embodied learning, artistic research, and eco-social imagination, directed and curated by architect, performance artist, and somatic researcher Eleni Danesi.
The platform brings together movement, neuroscience, architectural intelligence, and ecological thinking to explore how humans sense, imagine, and co-create their environments. What emerges is a multilayered approach to perception — one that connects the body, mind, and landscape as a continuous, intelligent system.
A Platform Rooted in Collective Practice
Multiscapes Lab curates and presents the outcomes of collective artistic residencies, group exhibitions, and community workshops, many of which are developed through the LatoMeio Project in Leonidio, Greece. The region’s unique landscapes and cultural rhythms provide fertile ground for inquiry into materiality, embodied cognition, neuroaffective spaces, and eco-social relationships.
These collective processes are shaped and guided by Eleni Danesi, whose interdisciplinary practice bridges architecture, performing arts, somatic coaching, and spatial neuroscience.
Our Unique Approach
The platform uniquely blends artistic exploration, scientific research, and embodied practices, offering a holistic methodology that integrates:
-
Movement & embodied intelligence
-
Neuroscience & affective physiology
-
Architectural & spatial cognition
-
Eco-social design & environmental imagination
-
Participatory arts & community learning
This fusion creates a transformative framework for individuals and groups to reconnect with their sensory intelligence, expand their creative capacity, and redesign their relational and environmental architectures.
What We Explore
At the heart of Multiscapes Lab is the concept of scapes — bodyscapes, soundscapes, microscapes, dreamscapes, landscapes — each representing a lens through which perception, imagination, and transformation unfold. These scapes are not metaphors but experiential territories, inviting participants to explore:
-
How movement becomes thinking
-
How matter shapes emotion
-
How space influences identity
-
How imagination becomes architecture
-
How collective practices generate new eco-social futures
Our Work Includes
-
Artistic research & site-responsive installations
-
Community-driven workshops & embodied learning programs
-
Collective artistic residencies (Leonidio & beyond)
-
Neuroaffective architecture & spatial intelligence studies
-
Exhibitions, performances, and interdisciplinary collaborations
The VISION we Embody
Multiscapes Lab envisions a world where humans navigate life with deeper sensitivity, relational awareness, and creative agency.

A world where we design futures not only with the mind, but through the body, through connection, and through the imagination of many.

Somatic Architecture
For individuals, artists, researchers, and organizations exploring perception, movement, and spatial intelligence
Multiscapes Lab offers a unique embodied research methodology integrating movement, neuroscience, materiality, and architectural thinking. Through somatic exploration, neuroaffective design principles, and experiential inquiry, participants uncover new ways of sensing, imagining, and shaping environments.
Artistic Residencies, Exhibitions & Collective Creative Processes
For interdisciplinary artists, designers, movers, thinkers, and community members
Multiscapes Lab curates and directs artistic research residencies, group exhibitions, and collective making processes — including the work developed within the LatoMeio Project in Leonidio, Greece. Residencies like R.E.W.I.L.D., The Martian Chronicles, and programs within the Imaginary Gardens Academy cultivate embodied, ecological, and speculative practices across generations and disciplines.
Educational Programs, Workshops & Community Learning
For groups, teams, organizations, educators, and the wider public
Multiscapes Lab offers experiential workshops, embodied leadership sessions, and interdisciplinary learning programs that integrate movement, spatial awareness, neuroscience, and eco-social thinking. These programs help individuals and communities expand creativity, communication, and relational intelligence.
